How to read credit card expiration date?

yes i know this is a dumb question lol but what is the month and year for this date that shows on my credit card???

Active February 1st 2011 through December 31st 2013

They all expire on the last day of that month. You should get your new card fifteen days before it expires.

Your credit card expires in December (12) 2013 (13). Meaning it will be valid until 11:59pm 31 December 2013.
