Postby karcsi » Fri Jan 18, 2013 7:59 am

Initial payment is made, local authority search is done, waiting for mortgage offer letter.

when is my next payment to solicitor is it before exchange of contracts or after getting the Completion Statement?

if you are the buyer, the next thing that the solicitor will want is the deposit, which he must have before contracts are exchanged. Then the balance is paid on completion day, from your mortgage company.

any questions, ask the solicitor - that's what you pay them for.

Usually in the UK it is on the day of completion. Your Solicitor will take all the money due before he will sign anything off. It depends on what you have agreed with him. Did you ask.?

On completion unless there are any unforseen disbursements.
